The Grand National Championships

Going into the last round…

With the Giants just taking Andre Woodson.

Anyway, let’s take one last draft update gander at a top 15, shall we?

1. Erin Henderson (OLB-Maryland) He does not take on blockers well.

2. Josh Barrett (SS-Arizona State) Spectacular Junior Year, Quit on his senior year.

3. Ali Highsmith (OLB-LSU) Undersized and Awful Timed Speed.

4. Darrell Robertson (DE-Georgia Tech) A DE who has to switch positions, but still has an inconsistent motor.

5. Justin Harper (WR-Virginia Tech) 4.61 speed and poor postseason games.

6. Mackenzy Bernadeau (G-Bentley Mass.) Small school, undersized, needs power.

7. King Dunlap (T-Auburn) May not want it bad enough.

8. Curtis Gatewood (OLB-Vanderbilt) Has to make a position switch to succeed.

9. Drew Radovich (T-USC) Needs to get himself in shape and add to his agility.

10. Geoff Schwartz (T-Oregon) Bad body. Bad in space.

11. Curtis Johnson (OLB-Clark Atlanta) Small school pass rushing ace with no other instincts.

12. Ezra Butler (OLB-Nevada) Great athleticism, would marry freelancing if he could.

13. Peyton Hillis (FB-Arkansas) Great pass-catcher, good athlete, bad blocker.

14. Jeremy Geathers (DE-UNLV) Good strength. No speed.

15. Cory Boyd (RB-So. Carolina) Runs hard, runs angry, but a character risk.

Yo Crappy Movie Version of Joe!

Dennis Dixon’s going to be moved.

Pittsburgh loves to draft athletic quarterbacks and shift them to receiver.

Antwaan Randle El, Hines Ward, Kordell Stewart (even if he wouldn’t stay there), and now? Dennis Dixon becomes the next athletic project for the Steelers.

They do love their gadget plays, after all.

The Green Bay Packers Select: Josh Sitton (OT-Central Florida) and Made a Trade with the Vikings?

Sitton is another of the Allen Barbre developmental types. He provides solid agility and can block well enough to cover the speed rusher. He just doesn’t have the mesureables. Short arms, poor speed. Kind of a pudgy dude. His technique needs work as well.

It’s a pick with some upside. It follows a certain theme. The Packers do not have to have Sitton make a splash by any stretch this year. I don’t hate it. I think there are some better players at the position, but I don’t hate it.

They dealt the pick they got from the Rams down to the Vikings, and the Vikings drafted John David Booty. Suckers…

See you in 13 Picks or so.

One of the underrated reasons why I’m glad they don’t make Berman go through Day 2

The Buffalo Bills just drafted a cornerback.

This guy. His name? Reggie Corner.

Gold star for the day to whoever comes up with the worst Berman-style Reggie Corner joke.

Chad Johnson better have that movie contract locked in…

With the Bengals adding Bubba Caldwell to Jerome Simpson in this draft, they’re coming into the draft with several new options to fill the hole that a Chad Johnson will leave.

Enjoy being in Oceans 14, Chad!

I’M ADORABLE!

The Chiefs are Killing this Draft

They have drafted great players, great potential, and outside of Jammal Charles, they have got great value. And even still, Jamaal Charles has great value as a weapon.

Put it this way Chiefs fan? Your team could draft me with your next pick and have it still be a spectacular draft.

There’s hope for the future even if 2008 won’t be great.

Welcome to Day 2.
