BCS SEVEN SAMURAI #5 OKLAHOMA (8-1)

Strengths: The skill positions are deep and mighty, despite running out their third quarterback in three years. The run defense is off the chain fantastic (5th in the nation). And when it comes down to the close of a ballgame, few kickers are as clutch as Garrett Hartley.

Weaknesses: The secondary is a microchasm of the team. Deep, talented, but they do so love to sleepwalk.

The Superstar: SE Malcolm Floyd Kelly

Names to Know: Sam Bradford-QB (The reason there will not be 4 QB’s in 4 years), Allen Patrick-RB, DeMarco Murray-RB, Chris Brown-RB (A scary deep core. Murray gets it in the red zone), Jermain Gresham-TE (10 Touchdowns on the year.)

Best chance to get beat: Gut feeling? If they can avoid Texas Tech on November 17th, they run the table. (They will likely run the table).

BCS Title Game Chances: 50% (Despite a schedule set up so that the Big 12 Winner could leapfrog a team to 3rd, Ohio State only has two chances to fall and LSU’s schedule doesn’t scream of challenge games. )

Random Pop Culture Avatar:

Patrick Swayze. Early in the year, they were a dominant brand of football entertainment. The Dirty Dancing-Road House-Point break style of versatility and awesome. Then Colorado caught them? Now, even though the talent remains, the aura is long gone.
