SEVEN SAMURAI: NCAA FOOTBALL

Now it begins. Seven teams with a legitimate shot at taking down the BCS National Title. The battles only get more interesting from here on out. Heroes will emerge. Legends will fall. Other movie trailer phrases.

But you might not know your Les Miles from your Rich Rodriguez. You might be here for cute animals, third level meta comedy, or what have you. But do not fret. We at the Grand National Championships are here to help. We’ll break down these teams for you into 8 distinct categories.

1) BCS Rank and Record.

2) Strengths

3) Weaknesses

4) The Superstar(s)

5) Name(s) to Know

6) Best chance to get beat.

7) BCS Title Game Chances

8) Random Pop Culture Avatar (Just because)

We’ll Start with #7 West Virginia, and work our way down.

  2. Just a nitpick here, but shouldn’t the chances of these teams making it to the BCS title game add up to <= 200%?

    At the time I read this, the percentages were 80 + 85 + 60 + 33 + 50 + 20 + 5 = 333%…maybe you should lower the odds of some of those teams?
