Playoff Predicitions Baseball Style

Okay. The Brewers aren’t in. I am not happy, but I’ll deal. You want to know who’s going to win this thing? Now? Get in on the ground floor. I will say so.

American League Divisional Series

Cleveland vs. Boston

Cleveland’s been a bit of a surprise. If only because everybody expected this team to be successful last year. Didn’t happen, but they have been clutch these past few weeks. Boston’s going to limp in to the playoffs. I’m not expecting anything dramatic, but the better playing team will win the series.

Cleveland wins in 4.

New York Yankees vs. The Los Angeles Angels of Ventura Boulevard

The Angels have crushed the Yankees on several occasions in recent years. The Yankees starters won’t make it any different this time. Joe Torre will walk off into the sunset if Steinbrenner isn’t being run as a wacky Weekend at Bernie’s-esque Automaton. Or Clarissa better be asked to explain it.

Angels in a sweep.

National League Divsion Series

Chicago vs. Arizona.

Chicago has a better team on paper than the Diamondbacks. I hate Cubs fans. Especially after this Deadspin story. But if nothing adverse happens to them during the playoffs in a key game? They will beat the Diamondbacks.

Diamondbacks in 5.

New York vs. San Diego

This is good for the Mets. They’re limping into the playoffs, sure. But this is the Padres going into the playoffs. They hold off the Phillies and the Rockies going for the Wild Card, but they’ll get owned by the Mets.

Mets in a sweep.

American League Divison Series

Cleveland vs. Los Angeles Angels of Calabasas

This will be a classic. Both teams are pretty well evenly matched. You will see this series go seven games, and in the end? C.C. Sabathia will go back to Milwaukee and channel a big game seven win. Adam Schroeder will literally plotz. I will say, eh.

Cleveland in 7.

National League Championship Series

New York vs. Arizona

This series looks like it will shape up to be all sorts of meh. Either that or Chris Young gets hot again. Either way, I’m in a flyover state. I’m not watching. Meh. Brandon Webb wins two games.

Arizona in 6.

THE WORLD SERIES

Cleveland vs. Arizona

There are those whom say the Ohio finalists are doomed to be runners-up. I say feh. I say the AL Central team takes it down. Drew Carey broke that curse. Cleveland, for lack of a better term, rocks.

Indians in 5.
